Writer, Bustle
What do you do in your current position?
I work as an Entertainment Writer for Bustle. I cover celebrity related news for their site, as well as a few other places. I’ve been published on InStyle, Extra Crispy, Metro New York, and more. I also proofread for two Scholastic magazines.
What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part of my job is that it changes every day — there are always different stories breaking and new angles to take. It still amazes me that I get paid to write about topics I genuinely enjoy and feel strongly about.
What made you choose journalism?
I chose journalism because I’ve always loved writing and storytelling.
Tell us about the importance of getting involved in student media at TCNJ.
Getting involved in TCNJ’s student media — specifically The Signal — was the best part of my college experience. It allowed me to gain incredible hands-on experience in writing, editing, and managing a publication. Not only that, but my fellow Signal editors have become some of my greatest friends and sources of professional advice post-college.
