TCNJ Communication Studies students were the only undergraduate students in the nation invited to present refereed papers at the biannual DC Health Communication Conference in Fairfax, VA, April 26-27, 2019, hosted by George Mason University. Students presented original papers testing TCNJ Professor Dr. John C. Pollock’s Community Structure Theory, exploring connections between differences in city or national demographics and media coverage of global issues such as food security, child hunger, condom use, and HPV vaccination; and national issues such as prison reform, minimum wage, safe drinking water, and gun safety.
