The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) fielded student paper presenters at the annual (2025) conference of the New Jersey Communication Association on Saturday, March 15. Pictured left to right: Natalie Roesch, Theresa “Tess” Leighton, Rebecca Heath, Samyuktha Senthil, Christopher DeSantis, Jennifer Romero, Christine Chen, and mentor (Dr. John C. Pollock). Not pictured was an earlier presenter, Kyle Levy. TCNJ thanks Dr. Richard Dool, conference organizer, and the multiple gracious NJCA volunteers from Rutgers University, which hosted the conference. Thanks, too, to Gary and Marie Radford, who were among the indispensable “founders” of NJCA, and whose announced retirement reminds us all of the many generous contributions they both made to the NJCA and the wider community of communication scholars throughout the world. Gary and Marie, we shall miss you both!
TCNJ Students Shine with Nine Presentations at Annual Conference of the 2025 New Jersey Communication Association
TCNJ students made nine presentations on a wide range of topics, including cross-national media coverage of pandemic mental health, men’s mental health sexual violence, vaccine hesitancy, food security, and migration from conflict zones. Additional papers were presented on US nationwide multicity coverage of abortion access and climate change. Students from The College of New Jersey deserve appreciation from throughout TCNJ for reinforcing the national reputation of its Dept. of Communication, Journalism, and Film, which in 2013 won the National Communication Association’s “Rex Mix Program of Excellence” award as the nation’s “best undergraduate communication program.” Congratulations, TCNJ student presenters!
