Thomas Parmalee ’02

Thomas Parmalee is a managing editor for the New Jersey School Boards Association, a federation of boards of education that provide training, advocacy, and support to advance public education and promote the achievement of all students through effective governance.

Previously, he was the executive director for Kates-Boylston Publications, which publishes American Funeral Director, American Cemetery & Cremation, Funeral Service Insider and a variety of ancillary products. He worked at the company for 15 years and was the architect of numerous industry events. he won a variety of awards for my investigative reporting and feature writing from the Specialized Information Publishers Association.

Parmalee is also a longtime independent contractor for Author Solutions, a publishing-on-demand provider owned by the Penguin Random House Co. He has written the book jackets for thousands of books. He has also written books of his own for book development companies, such as “Genetic Engineering” and “Legalized Gambling,” which are part of the Essential Viewpoints series used in middle schools.
