Quirk currently works as a freelance editor and writer. Her main client is the American Public Health Association (APHA), for whom she copyedits articles for the American Journal of Public Health and books for APHA Press. Most of her career has been in the medical and public health publishing field, on publications for professionals as well as for general audiences. Her freelance status opens doors to a wide variety of other writing and editing opportunities, from course writing to children’s picture book editing.
