John C. Pollock Health Communication Award
The John C. Pollock Health Communication Award honors Dr. John Pollock for his pioneering work in health communication at the university. Dr. Pollock co-chaired the task force that created the Department of Public Health, founded the Health Communication track within that department, established the Health Communication specialization in the Department of Communication, Journalism, and Film, and served as the founding faculty sponsor of the interdisciplinary Public Health Communication Club in 2008.
